Wedding Table Decorations: More Than Just Nice to Look At

Ideally, your wedding day should be the single most wonderful day of your life. If everything is done well, your guests should see your reflection in everything you offer them, and share your joy. When they leave at the end of the evening, they should have learned something about you during the reception, purely by the impression you have created.

Your wedding table decorating will, to a reasonable extent, dictate the atmosphere you have created - simply because it’s right in front of the eyes of every guest. The possibilities of color combinations and effects that can be created by different combinations of table cloths, overlays, and (different types and colors) flowers, is quite astounding. If you add to this the multitude of different styles of candles, place-card holders, and countless other decorations, you will find that you should be able to adapt to, and find the complimenting items, for (just about) any theme you can possibly imagine.

Your wedding table decorating should reflect, or say something, about you as a couple. Amongst the collage of all the decorations, the colors, and the mood you have created, this is what you want to bring across. This is your day, and your guests should, for lack of a better expression, experience YOU.

Most couples would obviously love to be able to decorate every table to perfection, with as much style and flair as possible. The reality, unfortunately, is that it is not within the financial reach of everyone. Once your guest list starts expanding, the cost of additional tables (including their wedding decorations) seems to escalate dramatically. To accommodate more guests, the amount spent per table usually has to stand down…..

Keep in mind that your wedding table decorating are not only for the wedding day, but will become lasting reminders. Each of your guests would like a souvenir to take home with them as a keepsake from your special day.

In short, wedding table decorating is more than just “something nice to look at”. It should contribute towards the memories your guests will retain from your special day, and have them remember how they experience you, and your hospitality, as a couple.
