Wedding Reception Decor: The Key to an Unforgettable Day

Every bride wants to have “the most wonderful wedding in the world”. Unfortunately, for most of the time, reality falls slightly short of fantasy. There is, however, a way to turn your wedding day into a truly unique, memorable event, and have your guests talking for some time afterwards.

The typical wedding reception is decorated with a selection of flowers, some small table decorations, and color play between table cloths and overlays. While allowing you a multitude of possibilities, this does not amount to a very striking effect: Quite the contrary - it appears somewhat “predictable”.

By applying wedding reception decor, you break free from the limitations of traditional decorations, and open up a whole new world of possibilities. Suddenly your wedding is not just a wedding anymore, but it becomes a wedding with a story…..

Wedding reception decor means that your decorations revolve around a basic theme. All the decorations used will come together to create a “big picture”. It also involves the use of larger, specific pieces emphasizing the overall theme.

A theme usually revolves around a central piece of attraction: It could be a striking painting, or an unusual wedding cake, or some childhood pictures set into an elaborate frame, or it could even be just a massive bouquet. As long as there is a central focal point of attraction. This one piece has to catch the eye of every guest, preferably upon entering the room. As their eyes wander from there, the whole “picture” should fall into place.

For wedding reception decor, it is normally easier to work around a narrow theme than to apply something broad. For instance, doing a garden theme would look nice. But doing a moonlit flower garden would be much more striking, and since you know exactly what you want, it will be easier to convey to others involved in the preparation.

Moving towards decor, surpassing mere decorations, will allow you to set your wedding reception apart from the average. Unless you can borrow a number of pieces, it will cost you a bit more. But the effect will be worth it.
